PHILOSOPHY
Our philosophy remains the same as when we opened in 1999. We promote the development of the total child and meet the individual needs of each child. Through “hands-on” learning, children grow socially, academically, and spiritually.
Developing the Total Child
At Sea Island Presbyterian Day School, we recognize that every child is developmentally different and deserves the opportunity to develop and learn at his or her own rate. Since we experience the world with our five senses, we encourage the children to “learn by doing” and provide a wide variety of “hands on” experiences designed to meet the needs of the children at different developmental stages. Our traditional preschool offers a program with varied experiences, designed to encourage your child’s spiritual, social, and educational development. Small classroom sizes enable us to offer a structured curriculum rich in math and language exploration, process based art, music and drama activities, science and motor skills development.
Foundation
The Day School was established in the summer of 1999. We offer a part-time, half morning preschool with a Christian foundation to our children. We strive to provide an early childhood educational program that is enriching and developmentally appropriate for each child. Our preschool is operated by Sea Island Presbyterian Church. Inquiries about the program can be best answered by the Day School Director or her assistant. Tours are available each school day from 9:15am-11:00am.

Faculty
Our staff consists of qualified professionals who demonstrate love and concern in a Christian environment for the welfare of our young children. All staff members are Pediatric CPR and First Aid trained.
